Helpful Hints from joeeze: Free Showtime

Screen Shot 2020-11-20 at 1.14.06 PM

Not just Showtime, but also HBO Max, AMC, Sundance, and a zillion other paid subscription channels.

They all offer an introductory free window, ranging from a week to a month, before the monthly billing starts.

Sign up, watch what you want, then unsubscribe before your free window expires.

Two easy peasy ways to remember to unsubscribe, which these premium channels are counting on you forgetting to do, especially after a month:

1) As soon as you've subscribed, unsubscribe before you leave the website.

2) Upon concluding watching the final episode of whatever it is you subscribed for, cancel your subscription right then and there.

FunFact: Your free window lasts for the entire week or month you signed up for, even if you unsubscribe before then.

Oh, I almost forgot.. in my younger days I had AOL for about 2 years if I recall correctly for free using this same method. Even better, because they would offer even more free time if you called to say you wanted to cancel because your local AOL phone number was always busy. You just needed a different payment method / cardholder name for each new sign-in. Easy-peasy.

I did the same thing to binge watch the last season of Game of Thrones... Glad I didn't pay for that stinker.
