World's tallest outdoor elevator

The Bailong Elevator (literally, Hundred Dragons Elevator) is a glass elevator built onto the side of a huge cliff in the Wulingyuan area of Zhangjiajie, China.

The bottom half is enclosed: the elevator cabin then emerges from the mountain.

Located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, it overlooks the so-called "Avatar" Mountain and Wulingyuan Scenic Area, whose amazing topography inspired the setting of the movie "Avatar."

The elevator, 1,070 feet (just over one-fifth of a mile) high, was recognized in July 2015 by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's tallest outdoor lift.
