From Food52:

One flavor comes out on top by a landslide: Cookies & Cream.

It's the top-searched flavor in 14 states.

Second place — tops in five states — was vanilla, followed by a tie between chocolate, peppermint, and strawberry (four states).

Not favorite, not most popular, not best selling, most Googled. Big difference.

I'd never heard/heard of this song till you called it up from your Universal Recall Machine.

I bet not 10 people on the planet know this song exists.

We need to download your brain and memory while there's still time.

Natural vanilla bean. There is no other. You can do anything with it.

I assure you that tutti frutti is not the most popular ice cream in California. I have never seen it in an ice cream store or on the shelf in the grocery store.

I suspect that for Massachusetts, where I live, they mean Cherries Garcia but don't want to get into brand names. Otherwise, Cherry makes no sense! We have a homegrown ice cream place in Cambridge called Toscanini's and they make a Vienna Finger ice cream that is to die for! and also Burnt Caramel, which is probably the best ice cream flavor I've ever had. I sense a field trip for my weekend...
