BehindTheMedspeak: Pill Hack

Screen Shot 2021-11-18 at 12.36.07 PM

It occurred to me just now that by splitting a pill, you expose two new surfaces to your stomach's absorptive engine.

That means the ingredients will dissolve and make their way into your bloodstream and hence to whatever organ or tissue you're targeting that much faster.

You won't find stuff like this on "New Amsterdam" or "The Good Doctor."

Just saying....

In Dialogue

Screen Shot 2021-11-18 at 4.21.05 PM

From crummy:

In DialogueI wanted to participate in Darius Kazemi's NaNoGenMo project but I already have a novel I have to write, so I didn't want to spend too much time on it.

And I did spend a little more time on this than I wanted, but I'm really happy with the result.

"In Dialogue" can take all the dialogue out of a Project Gutenberg book and replace it with dialogue from a different book.

My NaNoGenMo entry is in two parts: "Alice's Adventures in the Whale" and "Through the Prejudice Glass."

Apple Watch Easter Egg

I just noticed while fine-tuning my new Apple Watch 7 — fo shizzle BTW but I digress — that the Dark Sky and Weather apps now offer a multicolor option (above, Dark Sky) which adds to their informative nature.

I'm thinking this happened in an update without my noticing.

Now, it may be that such an option was always present from the start and I just never noticed it ( more likely than not the case) but no matter how I came to find it, it's way better than the single color curved band previously deployed.

It's not even close.

Far behind Mongolia are Iceland, Argentina, Mexico, and the U.S.
