'Wild Tales' — Graham Nash

I bought this book used and only noticed the wonderful placement of the barcode sticker on the cover after I was well into it.

Rock star memoirs vary tremendously in readability — like all memoirs — and this one's in the top tier.

Nash was a founding member of the Hollies before leaving in 1968 to become part of the first supergroup, Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Anyone who reads this autobiography will not fail to be as amazed as I am that all four Crosby, Stills Nash & Young members are still alive (Crosby's 81 next Sunday; Stills is 77; Nash is 80; Young is 76).

Why?

Because of the (to me) almost unbelievable, nearly incomprehensible frequency of use of quantities and varieties of drugs (all of the best quality obtainable as money was no object) and alcohol over decades by all four principals.

Grocery Delivery FTW

There's no way I would have ever considered having groceries delivered if Covid hadn't come along and shaken things up.

But now that it's my default shopping method, I can't imagine ever doing it the old way again.

Consider how many times you have to lift items if you go to the store in person:

1. From shelf/case/rack to shopping cart

2. Shopping cart to checker conveyor belt 

3. Conveyor belt (after bagging) into shopping cart

4. Shopping cart to car

5. Car to kitchen

The above scenario doesn't even take into consideration wandering around the store looking for things, wandering around the parking lot trying to remember where you parked, and driving to and from the store.
