Museum of Failure
This traveling exhibition first launched in Sweden in 2017.
From its website:
Museum of Failure is a collection of failed products and services from around the world.
The majority of all innovation projects fail and the museum showcases these failures to provide visitors a fascinating learning experience.
Every item provides unique insight into the risky business of innovation.
Innovation and progress require an acceptance of failure.
The museum aims to stimulate productive discussion about failure and inspire us to take meaningful risks.
Wrote Sarah Kuta in an excellent in-depth Smithsonian article:
By spotlighting more than 150 commercial ideas that didn't pan out for various reasons, the exhibition "aims to stimulate discussion about accepting and learning from failure," per its Instagram page.
A few notable examples: New Coke, Bic for Her pens, Limeade-flavored Oreo cookies, Colgate lasagna, Crystal Pepsi and a gyrating "hula chair" for exercise.
The Museum of Failure is now on view at Industry City in Brooklyn, New York, through May 14, 2023.

Apple x MacOS Easter Egg
Great news: No phone or watch doesn't mean no timer.
1) To start timing, take a screenshot with your computer, as I did when I began to compose this post this past Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10.55.20 AM (top)
2) Look at the current day/date/time in the tippy-top menu bar that's always there:
3) Elapsed time follows by simple subtraction (in this case, 11:39 - 10.55 = 44 minutes)
I know what you're thinking: 44 minutes to write a few sentences and take a couple photos is troubling.
Never mind: there was a lot of other stuff going on at the same time.
Multi-tasking is not just a buzzword for productivity gurus....
