'Chair for Very Brief Visits' — Bruno Munari
This chair, designed in 1945, has a sloped seat that is uncomfortable to sit on.
Wrote Arlene Hirst in the New York Times, "It is therefore more of a philosophical meditation about furniture than anything you would offer to a guest."
heh
Ms. Hirst clearly doesn't know me very well; perhaps she's never heard one of my favorite sayings, to wit: "Here's your hat, what's your hurry?"
From duplexdsgn: "The seat is tilted forward and is shorter than usual, the back higher."
You can too!

My wife had a cafe -- her dream come true (besides me) -- now defunct because of the Wuhan Flu. The chairs she bought had a back rest that rose two hands above the seat. The chairs were comfortable for about 30 minutes. Subtle encouragement to customers to eat and leave.
