Kana-ami: Traditional Japanese handmade metal cooking utensils and kitchenware (京の金網細工 辻和金網店)
From Kyoto Foodie:
Tsujiwa Kana-ami is a shinise and workshop just south of the Imperial Palace (Kyoto Gosho) that offers metal implements. As the store and workshop are one, customers can see both the store shelves and the products being made by the third generation owner.
In Japanese kana means metal and ami means to weave, mesh or net.
Kana-ami utensils are used for a variety of cooking techniques as well as some serving and presentation.
Simple wooden forms are used to make many of the products.
These well-worn tools
at Tsujiwa Kana-ami
have been in use
for more than 80 years.

Bert Lahr and E.G. Marshall in the 1956 Broadway production of 'Waiting for Godot'
Above, the audio file.
From Terry Teachout's rave Wall Street Journal review of the audio version:
Every critic who covered the show heaped praise on Mr. Lahr, and the most perceptive ones saw that his performance was profoundly true to the spirit of the play.
Alas, "Godot" closed after just 10 weeks, and Mr. Lahr never appeared in it again.
But Goddard Lieberson, who produced original-cast albums for Columbia Records, had the brilliant idea to record a complete performance of the play.
Below, Lahr (left) and Marshall in the 1956 production.
Read the play here.
You can even read along with the audio up top.
Free, the way we like it.
