Diff'rent Strokes — My Online Communities
These days I have multiple interactions daily with four very different online communities.
In order of time spent:
• bookofjoe (on average around an hour/day)
• YouTube (30 minutes/day)
• Hacker News (20 minutes/day)
• X (5 minutes/day)
I post to each of them multiple times a day.
I wonder how many boj readers also regularly frequent one or more the other three.
Probably few.

X (aka Twitter)
Years ago, my Twitter and eBay accounts were hacked by a Russian running a proxy through Vietnam. eBay noted the proxy and shut down the account ("Permanently suspended"). I set up a new account with a pseudonym on a new email account that I use only for eBay. Tedious to set up, but I am up and running.
The bastards at Twitter were less than helpful. I contacted customer support. They answered, "It appears that the account now belongs to a user in St Petersburg." I wrote them back to tell them that I knew that, and I wanted the hacker stripped of the account and the account returned to me. The bastards at Twitter ignored me. Repeatedly. I hate them all. May they burn in Hell.
I did not return when Elon bought X. I get along fine without it.
