Waiter's Pad

James Altucher, in his 2021 book "SKIP THE LINE," wrote about how a waiter's pad saved his life.

He published it on his blog here.

I was gonna republish excerpts but when I reread it just now, it was so entertaining that I figured the heck with that: you want it, you read it.

FWIW Altucher paid $10 for 100 pads back in 2002.

FunFact: I first learned of Altucher's existence back in 2006 when I subscribed to the Financial Times, where he had a column.

Quite entertaining and very unlike all the other FT writers and columnists.

I've since encountered his work in various places online.

He's 56.

I will say this: I'm surprised he's still alive.

His extremes are so extreme that I thought during one of them he'd tip over the edge.

So glad he hasn't.
