I once bought a specialized tool for a very infrequent DIY job.

A couple years later, I needed that tool a second time, and I searched high and low to find it. In my garage, my workshop, my toolbox, everywhere I could think of. After a couple days I gave up, conceded that the tool had been lost, bit the bullet and bought a second one.

It was only like twenty bucks, but for something I might only ever use once or twice (and maybe never again), it was frustrating to have to buy it a second time to replace the one I lost.

After I completed the job, when it was time put the new tool away, I had to think of where to store it so I wouldn't lose it again. After some thought, I decided "the perfect place" would be in the box with my ratchets and socket set, because that just seemed like the best place where I surely would look if I ever needed it again.

When I opened that box to put my new tool away in its perfect new storage place, guess what I found in the box.
