About 40 years ago, when I has to run errands with my infant twins, I didn’t use a stroller but had one in a front facing chest seat and the other in a hard frame backpack carrier. I always wear glasses, and one day clipped my bicycle mirror onto the frame. And whichever kid was in back, we had instant eye contact (if they were sleeping!)

I've used "rearview baby mirrors" (intended to watch the back seat of cars) for years. Bike rear-view mirrors (which this likely is), work well too.
