Abilene Rocking Chair — Wendle Castle
This chair was made in 2008 and offered for sale for $161,700.
It was produced in an edition of 8, with 2 prototypes and 2 artist's proofs.
Stainless steel, it measures 29.5" H x 44" W x 31" D.
I hope you didn't buy one new because time has not been good to Castle's ouevre.
Number 2/8 sold at auction at Christie's in 2014 for $81,250.
Number 6/8 sold at auction at Rago last year for $36,680.

I must admit, I thought it was a modified sims speculum before I finished reading it was a rocking chair! 😂
