Use Your Illusion
From 80.lv:
Take a look at this fascinating animation crafted by 3D artist Matt Taylor.
He visualized a 3D model of a famous wristwatch as a mathematical object, the Möbius strip.
The creator took the 3D prop of the Junghans Max Bill Automatic watch, designed by Swiss artist and designer Max Bill, and turned it into the renowned loop of Möbius, a surface formed by attaching the ends of a strip together with a half-twist.
The result is a mesmerizing, mind-blowing animation.
At first glance, it looks like a regular visualization of a watch that can be used for commercials, but if you take a closer look, you will notice "the twist."
As the Möbius is a real object used in constructing conveyor belt systems, theoretically you could recreate the visualization in real life.
The animation was made using Houdini, the go-to software for creating fantasy visual effects.

Gumption Traps
"Gumption traps are small problems that destroy enthusiasm and leave you so discouraged you want to forget the whole business," wrote Robert M. Pirsig in his 1974 classic "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance."
He most likely had never used a computer when he wrote that, but it describes perfectly the experience of trying out a new website or device only to run into a series of roadblocks that quickly sap your excitement and leave you discouraged and disgruntled about the whole thing.
Just spot-on, the term "gumption trap."
