I've paid for ChatGPT and Perplexity and tried Copilot, Claude, and Gemini.
Long story short: I now pay $19.99/month for Perplexity Pro and plan to continue doing so for the immediate future.
Cheap at many times the price.
It's the easiest AI for this card-carrying TechnoDolt©®™ to use and gives me the most useful and fastest results.
More impressive: I can go running with my phone and have an informative conversation with Perplexity without touching the phone.
Amazing.
I like to ask questions about history and geography to learn stuff of interest.

Context : I access the net through a keyboard. If you access the net through other means, my story may not help you.
AI : So far, I have used AI only for search and only through the Brave browser. Brave AI search has exceeded my expectations. Whenever I search using Brave AI, the answer comes back as the first-listed response in a list. Its position and format distinguish it from the rest of the responses. So far, after reading the AI response, I have gone to the regular responses only once.
Here is what Brave AI search says about Brave AI search :
