Fun with WordPress

Long ago (2007), on an internet that has since disappeared, I decided maybe I needed to hedge my TypePad bet even though I was gaining readers for bookofjoe at a furious pace.

I opened a WordPress account but didn't do anything with it, posting a couple times — most recently in 2023 (below) — just to see if it still worked.

I vaguely remember being really pleased with my TechnoDolt©®™ self for getting my signature green up top as well as a picture of my book.

But I digress.

Earlier today I saw where WordPress is now offering to help you start a website free with the help of AI tools.

I noodled around a bit in my WordPress account and discovered a second account of mine with a more recent photo (top).

The original account from 2007 (L) is called bookofjoe and the latecomer bookofjoe1.

I have no idea what's going on here but I did spend some time trying to figure it out, in the end deciding I'd best exit the rabbit hole before I disappeared completely.
