Why I delete ALL voice mails BEFORE listening to them
I started doing that about five years ago and I've yet to find any reason why I shouldn't continue forever.

Every time I login to my Medicare web page they have to call me with a verification code. Of course they go through the numbers quickly. At least they do it 3 times. You would think they know their audience is older and would talk a bit slower. Must be the young kids who wrote the code for it and have no trouble. :(

Team tamra here. For years I was a VM-ignorer just like yourself, Joe, but I begrudgingly changed my ways once I saw the benefits of visual voicemail. The transcripts are fairly accurate - at least enough to cull out the spammers and ramblers. Might take jumping thru a few hoops with your carrier, but the pain’s worth the gain.
(I can’t remember how it was enabled on my phone - iOS update? wife did it behind my back?? cell carrier upgrade???)

Huh? Why listen when you can quickly scan the transcript? And who needs to wait for a number, when it’s already there? Maybe a call back isn’t needed, maybe it’s important 🤷🏻♀️ but I wanna know, either way.. And I love the new “pick up while someone is leaving a message” feature. It’s like the old days when you could screen your calls on the trusty machine.
